The Meaning of Knives and Pens

One of the most known songs by the Black Veil Brides is " Knives and Pens". It is an amazing song that has alot of meaning behind it.  If you look at the lyrics you see some of the meaning behind it here are the lyrics:

Alone at last, we can sit and fight.
And I've lost all faith in this blurring light,
But stay right here we can change our plight.
We're storming through this despite what's right.

One final fight, for this tonight.
Woah...
With knives and pens we made our plight.

Lay your heart down the ends in sight.
Conscience begs for you to do what's right.
Everyday it's still the same dull knife,
Stab it through and justify your pride.

One final fight, for this tonight.
Woah...
With knives and pens we made our plight.
Woah...
And I can't go on without your love, you lost, you never held on.
We tried out best... Turn out the light,
Turn out the light.

One final fight, for this tonight.
Woah...
With knives and pens we made our plight.
Woah...
And I can't go on without your love, you lost, you never held on.
We tried out best... Turn out the light,
Turn out the light.
Andy Sixx wrote this song, he wrote it about how he was bullyed when he was younger, he was called many bad names because of how he acted and dressed. he said that instead of being destructive (knives) he  wrote songs to feel better (pens)  lyrics thanks to....    http://www.6lyrics.com/knives_and_pens-lyrics-black_veil_brides.aspx

  1. That is NOT what Knives and Pens is about its about a court case where 3 little boys got murdered and 3 teens got accused for it because they wore black they listened to metal ect. when they didnt kill the little boys. at the beginning "in looking at young people involved in the cult" that was taken from the case where they were talking about Damien (one of the teens) was supposedly the leader of the "cult". that is the true meaning of the song "knives and Pens" by Black Veil Brides

  2. The song is about the West Memphis Three.

  3. The song IS about what was said above, but the clip at the beginning was from a documentary about the West Memphis Three. Not necessarily the entire song.
